5,466 & The Collection

5,466 & The Collection is an archival repository that displays the importance of sacrifice through the Filipino migrant community within New Zealand and the Overseas Filipino Workers around the world adding more depth to the effects of the Philippine diaspora. 5,466 & The Collection brings a poetic narrative that displays each individuals story, their journey, in hopes to enable connections between audiences with migrant families and to the children who have seen the sacrifice first-hand. 5,466 consists of archival material along with stories from individuals who contributed to the project. 5,466 is my attempt at creating and understanding a hybrid culture as a 1st Generation Kiwi born.
